Roy Ready

Broker, Ranch and Land Specialist
Roy was born and raised and is a long time resident of Thermopolis, Wyoming where he has a ranching operation with his wife Amy and son Rees. He attended Central Wyoming College and the University of Wyoming before entering a career as a farrier in Wyoming and Arizona. After becoming a realtor and joining Western Land Sales of Wyoming, Roy worked as a sales associate for 7 years.  After 2 years as an associate broker, he assumed the responsible broker position at Western Land Sales. Roy brings with him an extensive knowledge of agriculture and a lifelong commitment to farming and ranching.

Ted Francis

Associate Broker, Ranch and Land Specialist
Ted Francis has been in Farm and Ranch Sales for over 40 years in Wyoming.Through his career as an independent brokerage operating out of Worland Wyoming, Ted has facilitated the sale and purchase of thousands of acres of Wyoming property. Ted graduated from the University of Wyoming with a B.S. in animal science, and was a member of the 1959 University of Wyoming Hall of Fame football team. After college he spent 5 years in finance with the USDA in agriculture supervised credit. He was also the past president of American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.  Ted’s knowledge and experience in the business of ranch sales is rarely matched in the industry.

John Winter

Sales Associate, Ranch and Land Specialist
Born and raised at Cody, Wyoming John now resides on Kirby Creek near Thermopolis, Wyoming with his wife, Diane.  His youth was spent on the family farm north of Cody where ranching and outfitting was a way of life.

John graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in range management.  John worked for the BLM as a Range Conservationist – Wild Horse Specialist before resigning and returning to the private sector in agriculture and as a big game outfitter in the Yellowstone region between Cody and Jackson Hole.

John has been involved in the real estate business since 2005 specializing in agricultural land and ranch property sales.

Tom Hadley

Sales Associate, Ranch and Land Specialist

Tom graduated from Cody High School in 1981 and went on to get a B.S. in Agricultural Business from the University of Wyoming in 1986. His family had ranches in Nevada and Oregon before moving to Cody.

From Cody they went on to Owl Creek near Thermopolis and then to Crook County where the family ranch is still located. Tom moved on with his own family to Wheatland in 1996 and has been ranching there ever since. Now that his last son is about to graduate from high school Tom has decided to branch out into the real estate business working for long time friend Roy Ready and representing Western Land Sales, with whom his family has had a long relationship.

Tom brings with him hands on experience from the Big Horn Basin to the eastern borders of the state.

J.R. Kvenild

[Pronounced Kwenild or Smith]

Founder and Advisor, Ranch and Land Specialist
J.R. Kvenild is the associate broker of Western Land Sales, f/k/a Western Land Service and a native of Wyoming.  He is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a degree in Animal Science. He has worked as a full time Realtor since 1968.

During his 48 plus year career, J.R. has established himself as a leading marketer of agricultural real estate. He was the first Realtor to earn the “Accredited Land Consultant” designation in Wyoming.

He is also past president of the Wyoming Association of Realtors and Wyoming Chapter of Realtors Land Institute.
